Delayed Delivery
If an item is sold and you are not sure of the serial number yet because the item will be delivered or picked-up at a later date, click the Delayed Delivery option and click OK. A 'Delivery Date' box will appear where you should enter the date that the item is expected to be delivered or picked up. Upon entering the Date, the information pertaining to the serialized sku will appear in the boxes on the Sales Invoice. Once the serial number is known, you will use 'Delayed Delivery' on the Daily Posting Modules menu in order to assign the serial number. This will update both the inventory and sold inventory files. Refer to 'Delayed Delivery' for more information on assigning the serial number.
